Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.1% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:09AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Granules India(up 2.27 per cent), Biocon(up 1.5 per cent), Lupin(up 1.31 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(up 0.79 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.66 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Natco Pharma(down 2.25 per cent), Abbott India(down 1.66 per cent), Pfizer(down 1.39 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.16 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories(down 1.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.1 per cent at 12862.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 32.95 points at 16785.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 12.77 points at 56397.19.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of , , PNB, Power Grid and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , Airo Lam, , and Maks Energy Solutions India Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Kandarp Digi Smart BPO Ltd., , , and Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
