Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha, on Tuesday, said that the state government is keeping no stones unturned in making the tourism sector sustainable, socially as well as economically.
Patnaik said while speaking on the occasion of World Tourism Day that every year, World Tourism Day is observed on September 27th. For this year, the theme of the event is ‘Rethinking Tourism’. The State Government is actively working towards turning the tourism industry sustainable, socially and economically.
He said that Odisha tourism is primarily aimed on having greater resilience against disorderly natural catastrophes like cyclones and pandemics, and providing responsible design of new tourism products. He said that their award-winning ecotourism model is the best case in point built on a shared vision for greater sustainable, comprehensive and resilient sector.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that Odisha, starting right from pristine beaches to rolling hills and from wonderful wildlife and exotic heritage, it’s a treasure trove of diverse tourism destinations. The exceptional road networks of Odisha connecting adjacent States to the hinterlands of the state today allow the young road trippers to discover the best-kept secrets of India hassle-free. He said that he welcomes the riding communities, road trippers and backpackers from all over the nation to explore Odisha by road.
