Sattar taken into custody by NIA

Thiruvananthapuram: PFI state general secretary A Abdul Sattar was taken into custody by NIA from Karunagappally in Kollam on Wednesday. He was taken into custody hours after he posted on PFI’s FB page that the outfit was being disbanded on account of it being banned by the Union government.
Meanwhile, 221 PFI activists were arrested from various places in the state as part of the police action over the violence in the hartal called by PFI on Friday. With this, the total number of arrests so far has reached 1,809. tnn
