Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.37%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 4.29 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.58 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.57 per cent) and DLF(up 0.53 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 1.69 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.66 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.21 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.17 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.37 per cent up at 415.8.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 40.5 points at 16818.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 188.32 points at 56409.96.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.

Shares of , , PNB, Zomato Ltd. and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Pricol, , , Rites and Airo Lam hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , CMI Ltd, , and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
