
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 270.01 points up at 56868.29 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Olympic Cards(down 9.80 per cent), Aditya Ispat(down 8.43 per cent), Salora Intnl(down 8.08 per cent), Walchand People(down 7.33 per cent) and MAC Hotels(down 7.27 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 42 stocks traded in the green, while 8 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 93.5 points up at 16952.1.
On the BSE, , GKP Printing & Pack, Gala Global Prod, and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Kuberan Global Edu ., , EP Biocomposites Ltd., and touched their fresh 52-week highs.
