Bharti Airtel (Airtel) is one of the largest home-grown consumer brands and India’s premier integrated communications solutions provider. Through its four key business verticals of Mobile, Homes, Digital TV and Airtel Business, it connects millions of people and businesses to transform lives for the better. Boasting more than 491 million customers globally, Airtel is present in 17 countries across South Asia and Africa, covering 24 per cent of the world's population. In India, it covers 95.7 per cent of the population.

Airtel outperformed competitors in expanding its revenue share through incremental 4G net-adds, adding 21.5 million in the year to cross the 200 million 4G smartphone customer threshold, said Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal. A brilliant experience built over a 5G-ready network played an integral part in delivering robust performance. Airtel took the lead in 5G by testing the network ahead of the competition and became the first operator in India to demonstrate a 5G cloud gaming experience and conduct a successful 700 Mhz band trial for rural connectivity. "We can proudly say that Airtel will be at the forefront of bringing 5G connectivity to India with a powerful network that will support India’s digital-first economy," Mittal added.

Airtel posted a consolidated revenue of Rs 1,16,547 crore, growing 16 per cent in FY22 with an EBIDTA of Rs 58,110.3 crore, which was 26 per cent higher that the previous fiscal. During the period under consideration (FY18-22), its revenue grew at a CAGR of 9 per cent while the profit-after-tax zoomed at nearly 40 per cent CAGR.
