All schools in Rajasthan to remain open on October 2

JAIPUR: The state education department on Tuesday ordered that all schools in the state would remain open on October 2 so that an all-religion prayer ceremony could be organised on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The order issued by education department director Gaurav Agarwal stated, "All government and non-government schools in the state shall remain open on October 2, when three prayer songs will be sung together at 11am. This programme will be conducted at schools in state, district and block levels." The three songs are 'Vaishnav Jan Toh', 'De Di Hume Azadi Bina Khadag Bina Dhaal' and 'Dharma Wo Hi Ek Sachha Jagat Ko Pyaar'. The schools would be provided audio of the three songs.
