This Virat Kohli lookalike is sure to steal the show

Thiruvananthapuram: With his razor-sharp beard lines and neatly trimmed hair, this lookalike of cricketer Virat Kohli has caught the attention of many on the eve of the India-South Africa T-20 match at Kariavattom. Rejeesh (30), an employee at a car accessories shop in Wayanad, reached Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday to catch the action live. He said that he has never been a cricket fan and his sole intention is to catch a glimpse of Kohli and, if possible, pose for a photo with him.
“Honestly, I have never been a cricket follower. When my friends told me about the resemblance to Kohli, I started following the game and of course Kohli,” he said.
It was his wife Arya who encouraged him to cut short his long locks and go for a makeover.
“When I showed the picture of how I wanted to do my hair and beard in a salon at Pulpally in Wayanad, the Hindi-speaking hair stylist said, ‘Oh Kohli jaisa’,” he added.
The groomer was spot on. Soon, Rejeesh began to make heads turn.
“People started noticing my appearance and would come and take pictures with me. It made me feel good,” said Rejeesh.
It is quite a process to keep up the looks. Every day, he takes time to trim his beard. For hair, he seeks professional help. Though he looks like Kohli, he is not keen about following the healthy eating practices of the cricketer.
“I can’t compromise on non-vegetarian food. But I try my best to keep myself in good shape,” he added.
