GURUGRAM: A poultry farm owner and his brother returning home were attacked by a group of assailants in Bhondsi on Monday night.
Police said the assailants who were armed with sticks and a revolver fired several gunshots in the air before fleeing. The poultry farm owner sustained injuries in the attack and is being treated at a private hospital, cops said.
Pankaj and Mohit, the brothers, had stopped at Vatika Kunj to buy groceries on their way home around 8.45pm. While Pankaj went inside the store, Mohit, the poultry farm owner, was surrounded by the assailants who dragged him out of the car and started beating him. After hearing the screams of his brother, Pankaj came outside. When he tried to save his brother, one of the assailants fired a bullet at him but that narrowly missed him.
An FIR has been registered at Bhondsi police station against unknown men.
