Intel CEO Patrick Gelsinger announced that the company’s Developer Cloud is being expanded to give developers and partners early access to Intel technologies.
At its second annual Intel Innovation event today, Intel announced that the expansion of Intel Developer Cloud could give customers and developers access to its chip platforms from a few months up to a full year ahead of product availability.
This could prove to be a major boost for chip companies which are increasingly allowing software and hardware developers to test out chips virtually in the cloud before they are shipped.
Intel will begin this in a limited beta trial, where it will allow selected customers and developers to try out and test many of the company’s latest platforms in the upcoming weeks.
Under the expansion of the Intel Developer Cloud, the customers and developers will have early access to platforms including Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors (Sapphire Rapids), 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® processors with high bandwidth memory (HBM), Intel® Xeon® D processors, Habana® Gaudi®2 deep learning accelerators, Intel® Data Center GPU (code-named Ponte Vecchio) and Intel® Data Center GPU Flex Series.
During Intel Innovation event, Intel also announced its 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processor family, led by the 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13900K – the world’s fastest desktop processor.
