Maison Courvoisier unveils Tesco-exclusive blend

Maison Courvoisier has unveiled Courvoisier Rouge Luxe, a limited-edition blend inspired by the brand’s history. 

The liquid has firstly matured in French Limousin oak barrels, followed by a second maturation in a selection of French Fontainebleau oak casks.

Exclusively available at Tesco, the producer has described the liquid as versatile, combining rich and complex notes of vanilla, dried fruit and sandalwood.

Thibaut Hontanx, Courvoisier chief blender, said: "Courvoisier Rouge Luxe offers a truly vibrant and nuanced cognac that is married with a legacy of world-class craftsmanship that has informed the unique effortlessly elegant modern design. Bringing an inimitable sense of joie de vivre to the Christmas dinner table, Courvoisier Rouge Luxe is the perfect accompaniment to the flavours synonymous with the season, whether served neat or as part of a sophisticated twist on a range of classic simple refreshing festive cocktails." 

The launch is a continuation of the De Luxe series, with a new design inspired by the red and gold aesthetic throughout Courvoisier’s history. The founding date has been carved at the bottom of the red frosted glass bottle, emphasising the brand’s eagerness to elaborate its history.

Courvoisier Rouge Luxe is available both in-store and online at Tesco with an RRP of £42.
