Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.09% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Abbott India(up 1.37 per cent), Cipla(up 1.19 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.59 per cent), Laurus(up 0.37 per cent) and Granules India(up 0.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Lupin(down 1.25 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.07 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 0.94 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 0.89 per cent) and Strides Pharma Science(down 0.82 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.09 per cent at 12486.4 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 7.8 points at 17008.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 28.25 points at 57173.47.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of , JP Power, , Zomato Ltd. and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , , , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mega Flex ., Viviana Power Tech Ltd., , JFL Life Sciences Ltd. and Debock Sales & Mktg hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
