Rs 42 lakh firecrackers stored without licence; 2 booked in Thane

ULHASNAGAR: The Ulhasnagar police have registered an offence against two shopkeepers for storing a large quantity of firecrackers without obtaining a licence from the authorities concerned.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the local police station led by API Y P Mali inspected a shop in Nehru Chowk area and found that shopkeeper Amarjeet Rajwani and his father Haresh Rajwani had stored a huge quantity of firecrackers, valued at over Rs 42 lakh without obtaining necessary pemission, police said.
