The 5G rollout in the country is to start on October 1 by PM Modi. Meanwhile, Russia's Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, Bella Cherkesova has stressed on strengthening cooperation with India in the fields of telecommunications technology, security and 5G.
Cherkesova said this while meeting India's Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan, during a conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a United Nations body in Romania, according to an official statement. This conference has started on 24th September.
During his interaction with the Russian minister, Chauhan spoke about India's success in spreading digital infrastructure, including the recent 5G spectrum auction and preparations for 5G rollout. According to the statement, the Russian Deputy Minister expressed her desire to strengthen cooperation with India in the fields of telecommunications technology, security and 5G.
