PATNA: Three persons were injured in a violent clash between two groups over supremacy in Barh sub-division, close to Patna, on Monday morning. The injured were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital and later referred to the PMCH for treatment.
According to police officials, the fight broke out around 8am at Kondi auto-stand to take control over it under Barh police station area. After the heated argument between the two groups, they started pelting stones, bricks and also fired at each other.
Patna SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon said the scuffle broke out between former mukhiya Lalan Kumar and the present head of Bairnapurvi panchayat, Rajkumar. “Reports have come that some of them were carrying unlicensed pistols during the clash. The police are investigation into the matter. Two separate FIRs have been registered with Barh police station by Lalan and Rajkumar against 14 persons,” he said.
“In the primary investigation, it came to light that the auto-stand is located on a private land and it was being run by both Lalan and Rajkumar. However, after a dispute, they have been fighting to take control of the auto-stand. On Monday morning, they had a heated argument following which the fight broke out. Three persons got injured in the incident, but none of them received bullet injury,” the SSP said.

Sanjeev Kumar of one faction, Jitendra Kumar and Saurabh Kumar from other group, all residents of Basubali.
