Rihanna declined the invitation to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl to show her solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. But, for the 2023 LVII Super Bowl, the second-best-selling female artiste has now broken the joyous news innovatively. She recently posted a picture on Instagram where her tattooed hand was holding a National Football League (NFL)-branded football. Shortly after the post, the NFL Twitter account updated its bio, which read "National Fenty League" and tagged Rihanna and Apple Music. The witty reference was made to Rihanna’s legal surname and the Fenty beauty brand.
The fans are thrilled to see Rihana back on stage after a long time. Rihanna’s last album was 2016’s Anti, and her last stage performance was at the Grammy Awards in 2018. She has sold more than 250 million records worldwide.
This is the first time since 2013 that Pepsi is not the sponsor. This time, the NFL has partnered with Apple Music and Roc. The Super Bowl will occur in February 2023 in Arizona’s State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
