Maharashtra: Private, aided college teachers' salaries soon

MUMBAI: Higher & technical education minister Chandrakant Patil on Monday said the state government will pay salaries of teachers from private, unaided colleges.
Patil said at an event in Pune that fees in private colleges were higher and that quality education will remain inaccessible for many if fees remain on the higher side. If the government pays teachers' salaries, education will become affordable, he added.
