Symposium on heritage held in city

Surat: A symposium on history and heritage of the city was organized at the Surat Fort on Saturday. The event, ‘From Roots to Repository’ was organized by Intach Surat and Tulsun Dharohar Foundation.
This was the second event by Intach Surat which is working on the Surat Repository Project along with the support of other organizations in an attempt to bring studies, research and work done in the area of heritage and history on one platform.
The speakers included historian Dr Mohan Meghani, conservation architect Vikas Dilawari, architects Manvita Baradi, Miki Desai, and Sumesh Modi besides history professor Lakshmi Subramanian who shared details of their studies.
Architects Falguni Desai and Binita Pandya, shared details of the work done in heritage conservation, while Intach and others shared on city’s history.
