Cong has no moral right to speak against CM: Sunil Kumar
Udupi: Energy, Kannada and culture minister V Sunil Kumar said that the Congress has no moral right to speak against chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, and that the corruption charges against the CM are baseless.
He told the media here on Saturday, that the Congress has been propagating lies through the ‘PayCM’ poster campaign. “KPCC president D K Shivakumar, who was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate, has pasted the posters, levelling corruption charges against the state government. Those who are involved in the Arkavathy denotification and Indira Canteen scams, have no moral right to speak about corruption,” he said.
Accusing former chief minister Siddaramaiah to be the most corrupt leader in the state, Sunil Kumar said, “Basavaraj Bommai is known as the chief minister of the common man. If the Congress leaders have doubts about the functioning of the state government, they have every right to approach the Lokayukta. Congress leaders did not raise issues of corruption against the government, in the 10-day legislature session. Congress is a party known for corrupt practices,” he said. He asserted that the BJP will fight the assembly election under the leadership of CM Basavaraj Bommai.
