Jaisalmer: Border Security Force (BSF) frontier headquarters Inspector General (IG) David Lalrinsinga visited
Jaisalmer and border areas on Friday and Saturday to inspect the progress of various border tourism development work in the Tanot area near the Indo Pak international border. He held a meeting with senior officers and gave necessary directions.

Amit Shah had laid the foundation stone of border tourism development works on September 10. Lalrinsinga visited many border outposts in the Tanot area and took stock of the security arrangements and reviewed the operational activities with the officers. To make Jaisalmer a border tourism hub, Tanot and border outpost of Bablianwala are being developed as a tourist spot with the help of the BSF. The central government has approved Rs 16.67 crore for this development project.
Later he also met the jawans and motivated them to discharge their duties with complete commitment. He boosted the morale of the jawans and emphasised on using modern techniques at the border.
