India reports 4,129 new cases and 4,688 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
Tamil Nadu inoculates 7.75 lakh people
Tamil Nadu on Sunday inoculated 7,75,193 people against Covid-19 during the 38th edition of mega vaccination exercise, the health department said. A total of 29,729 people received the first dose, 1,49,804 the second dose, while 5,95,660 people received the precautionary booster dose, an official release said here.
Karnataka records 211 new COVID-19 cases, one death
Karnataka on Sunday recorded 211 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 40,63,638, the health department said. There was one death reported in Kalaburagi today, taking the total fatalities to 40,239.

Tamil Nadu clocks 538 daily COVID-19 cases; nil fatalities
Tamil Nadu on Sunday logged 538 new COVID-19 infections, pushing the aggregate to 35,80,439 while the toll stood at 38,046 with zero fatalities. Recoveries grew to 35,36,998 with 492 people recuperating from the virus in the last 24 hours, leaving 5,395 active cases, a medical bulletin said. Chennai accounted for majority of new cases at 110, Chengalpet 51, while the remaining was spread across other districts.

The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 10,54,227 on Sunday after the detection of 23 cases, while the death toll remained unchanged at 10,771, an official said. The positivity rate, or cases detected per 100 tests, stood at 0.5 per cent, he added.
Gujarat logs 102 new COVID-19 cases; active tally at 1,012
Gujarat on Sunday recorded 102 new cases of COVID-19 that raised the tally of infections to 12,74,278, an official from the state health department said. With 92 patients getting discharged, the count of recoveries reached 12,62,234, while the toll remained unchanged at 11,032, he said.
Nashik division reported 40 cases, Pune region 231, Kolhapur division 19, Aurangabad division 13, Latur division 14, Akola division 15, and Nagpur division 18.
Mumbai region recorded 191 fresh cases, which raised the number of cases to 23,78,847 and the toll to 40,099.
Mumbai's tally of infections rose to 11,48,859 and the death toll to 19,729.
The case recovery rate in Maharashtra stands at 98.13 per cent and the fatality rate at 1.82 per cent.
Maharashtra sees 541 Covid-19 cases, two deaths
Maharashtra on Sunday reported 541 cases, including 108 in Mumbai, and two fatalities, taking the tally to 81,19,345 and the toll to 1,48,329, the state health department said. With 546 patients discharged during the day, the cumulative count of recoveries in the state rose to 79,67,314, leaving the state with 3,702 active cases, the department said in a statement. The two fatalities were reported from Navi Mumbai and Nagpur divisions.
Puducherry logs 68 new COVID-19 cases
Puducherry reported 68 new cases, taking the overall tally to 1,74,376 on Sunday.
