The apple growers and traders in Kashmir valley continue their protests against the government for creating barriers as hundreds of fruit-laden trucks are unable to pass freely on the national highway. Traders allege that they are facing economic losses. They are also more worried as Iranian apples have arrived in the market. Earlier, apple growers and traders wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi and Lt governor Manoj Sinha seeking a ban on the duty-free import of apples.
