Poojary to inaugurate fest at temple

Mangaluru: Former Union minister B Janardhana Poojary will inaugurate the Mangaluru Dasara festival at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple on Monday.
Kudroli Temple committee secretary Madhava Suvarna told reporters that the installation of Navadurge and Sharada idols, as part of the festival, will be held at the temple at 9.30 am on the same day. While Poojary will light the lamp to inaugurate the Dasara festival, Padma Shri awardees Harekala Hajabba and Amai Mahalinga Naik, will be present on the occasion, he said.
Temple committee president H S Sairam said that various religious and cultural programmes will be held as part of the Dasara festival at Kudroli Temple, from Monday to October 6. tnn
