Shah is likely to inaugurate a puja organised by Sajal Ghosh, BJP councilor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, in Kolkata.He had inaugurated a Durga puja pandal in Kolkata three years ago.

The pandal Shah may inaugurate this time is known as the Santosh Mitra Square, at Lebutala Park, which has a 'replica' of the Red Fort to celebrate 75 years of Independence.

"We have approached Union home minister Amit Shah for the inauguration of our puja pandal and waiting for official confirmation. The inauguration date will be September 27," organiser Ghosh told ET. Following Nabanna Abhijan, BJP has also roped in Mithun Chakraborty to be part of the public outreach programme during Durga Puja.
