Heated discussions on illegal buildings at Bicholim meet

A heated discussion on illegal constructions in Bicholim town was witnessed at Saturday’s Bicholim municipal council (BMC) meeting, which was convened after a gap of seven months. Pointing out to several discrepancies, councillors questioned how the building opposite Deen Dayal Bhavan had been issued a residence certificate. BMC chairperson Kundan Falari said the ‘B file’ had not come to him for scrutiny and that all approvals had been issued directly to the applicant. tnn
