KOLKATA: Cops arrested four persons and recovered around 11kg gold, worth Rs 6.2 crore, from a car on Belgharia Expressway on the northern fringes of the city around 4.30am on Friday.
A patrolling team from Belgharia police station spotted the car parked on the Dakshineswar-bound flank of the expressway at Prafulla Nagar. "The four were sitting inside the car. The accused confessed during interrogation that they had smuggled the gold from Bangladesh.
