China appoints central bank deputy governor a new member of monetary policy committee

BEIJING : China has appointed deputy governor of the People's Bank of China (PBOC) Zhang Qingsong to the bank's monetary policy committee, the State Council said in a statement on Friday.
It dropped Chen Yulu, a former deputy governor of the PBOC, from the panel.
