Energy Development Company(up 4.74%), Karma Energy(up 1.23%), Jyoti Structures(up 1.12%), Alstom T&D India(up 0.90%) and KEC International(up 0.22%) were among the top gainers.
Power Grid Corporation of India(down 4.61%), DPSC(down 3.15%), Suzlon Energy(down 3.13%), Transmission(down 2.32%), RTNPOWER(down 2.13%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 2.05%), Inox wind(down 2.02%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 1.81%), Limited(down 1.77%) and Adani Power(down 1.70%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 188.85 points down at 17440.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 634.74 points at 58484.98 at around 11:05AM.
Divis Laboratories(up 2.16%), Tata Steel(up 1.35%), Infosys(up 1.19%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.05%), HCL Technologies(up 0.78%), Cipla(up 0.43%), ITC(up 0.39%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.14%), Britannia Industries(up 0.11%) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 4.61%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 3.23%), HDFC(down 2.51%), HDFC Bank(down 2.37%), IndusInd Bank(down 2.35%), Axis Bank(down 2.23%), Bajaj Finance(down 2.23%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.97%), UPL Ltd(down 1.91%) and State Bank of India(down 1.83%) were trading in the red.
