Shree Renuka Sugars(down 4.40%), Rana Sugars(down 4.04%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 3.95%), KCP Sugar & Industries(down 3.94%), Sakthi Sugars(down 3.82%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 3.35%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 3.32%), & Industries(down 3.14%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 3.05%) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 2.97%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 302.45 points down at 17327.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 1020.8 points at 58098.92.
Divis Laboratories(up 1.75%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.44%), Tata Steel(up 0.68%), Cipla(up 0.58%) and ITC(up 0.39%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 7.97%), Enterprises(down 4.13%), Hindalco Industries(down 3.82%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 3.47%), State Bank of India(down 2.94%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 2.91%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.85%), NTPC(down 2.79%), Bajaj Finance(down 2.75%) and IndusInd Bank(down 2.73%) closed in the red.
