To prioritise the mental health of its employees, online shopping site Meesho has announced an 11-day company-wide “Reset and Recharge Break” for the second year in a row. This holiday will start after the festive season from 22 October to 1 November.
Meesho founder and CTO Sanjeev Barnwal announced this via Twitter. He said, “We have announced an 11-day break for the company for the second year in a row. Keeping in mind the upcoming festive season and the importance of work-life balance, Meeshoites will take out some much-needed time from October 22 to November 1 to reset and recharge.”
Meesho previously announced a "limitless" workplace model, infinite wellness leave, 30-week gender-neutral parental leave and 30-day gender reassignment leave.
In February this year, the company announced that it would allow all its employees to work from home, office or any location of their choice permanently. This is applicable to over 1,700 employees currently working for the company.
Ashish Kumar Singh, Chief Human Resource Officer, Meesho, said in a statement, “We have studied several future work models to arrive at this novel borderless approach. In future, it will also give an opportunity to talent from across the world to build India with Meesho.”
