Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 2.67%), & Industries(down 2.34%), Rana Sugars(down 2.29%), DCM Shriram Industries(down 2.00%), BAJAJHIND(down 1.78%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 1.74%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 1.15%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 1.01%), Mawana Sugars(down 0.94%) and KCP Sugar & Industries(down 0.87%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 82.15 points down at 17636.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 267.21 points at 59189.57 at around 10:55AM.
ITC(up 1.7%), Eicher Motors(up 1.44%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.4%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.07%), Nestle India(up 0.77%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.73%), Britannia Industries(up 0.59%), Asian Paints(up 0.56%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.53%) and Tech Mahindra(up 0.53%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.66%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.52%), SBI Life(down 2.27%), HDFC(down 1.72%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.6%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.41%), Axis Bank(down 1.28%), Shree Cement(down 1.24%), HDFC Bank(down 1.19%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.18%) were trading in the red.
