Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.72 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.07 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.97 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.81 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.67 crore), (number of shares traded: 1.26 crore), Ambuja Cements(number of shares traded: 1.07 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 0.98 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 0.89 crore) and Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 0.86 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 16.9 points down at 17701.45, while BSE Sensex was down 67.16 points at 59389.62 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, ITC Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent), & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), .(up 1.66 per cent), .(up 1.17 per cent) and .(up 1.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While .(down 1.69 per cent), .(down 1.45 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), .(down 1.28 per cent) and .(down 0.97 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
