Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress chief Pushpa Amarnath said women can dial 18002030589, the helpline number set up by the Congress, and share their grievances, including family issues, and the women Congress members would rush to help such women in distress.
She requested the Congress workers to popularise the helpline by visiting the doorstep of women in every part of the state. Pushpa also requested women workers and supporters to join the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Mysuru in big numbers to show
solidarity.
Netta D’Souza said it is the first-of-its-kind initiative by any political party in India to start a helpline number exclusively for women to hear their grievances. This will benefit a large number of women in the future, she stated.
