The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has refused permission to the Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde factions to hold the Dussehra rally at the Shivaji Park ground, Mumbai.

BMC has informed Eknath Shinde MLA Sada Sarvankar, that his application for Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park ground has been rejected keeping in view the law and order situation. This also means that Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray is also not getting permission for Shivaji Park.

Both Shinde and Thackeray had applied for holding a Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park ground. If either side was allowed, serious law and order would have been created in the sensitive area there. Problems could have arisen, so the BMC rejected the application of both the factions and refused permission.

The Eknath Shinde group has already booked MMRDA grounds as its backup plan. At the same time, the Uddhav Thackeray group has already moved the Bombay High Court, which can be heard on 22nd September.

Earlier, the Uddhav Thackeray group had issued a poster asking Shiv Sainiks to reach Shivaji Park for Dussehra rally. Taking a very aggressive stand, the Uddhav faction had released a poster and said that Hindutva will now be the will and strength of the party. Along with this, the Uddhav faction had said through the poster that now no apology will be given to the fraudsters.
