Undertrial hangs to death inside jail

Rajkot: A 22-year-old undertrial allegedly committed suicide in Rajkot central jail by hanging himself with a bedsheet in the bathroom early on Wednesday. Deepak Charoliya had been arrested for abducting a minor girl in July and was lodged in the jail since then. While the police have not attributed any reason to the suicide, Charoliya’s family members claimed that the girl's brothers were threatening to kill him once he was released from the jail. TNN
