CIMS dean accuses doctor of assault

Mysuru: Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Science (CIMS) dean and director Dr GM Sanjeev has lodged a police complaint against a medical officer working at the CIMS accusing him of hurting him during an inspection.
Chamarajanagar rural police have taken up a case against Dr Maheshwara, CIMS hospital, Yadabetta under several provisions under the IPC including on charges of assault.
Sanjeev told TOI that Dr Maheshwara threw a bottle and food parcel at him when he was inspecting CIMS hospital at Yedabetta. He was accompanied by district surgeon and medical superintendent Dr Krishna Prasad. Dr Maheshwara all of sudden threw a bottle and food parcel at me, said the complainant. tnn
