Two-year-old boy drowns in water tank

Krishnagiri: A two-year-old boy drowned in a water tank near Uthangarai in Krishnagiri district on Monday.
The toddler, S Sudarshan, was playing outside his house at Mittapalli on Monday morning. “A small cement water tank was placed outside a nearby house. The child climbed the tank and fell into it. On seeing this, his parents Sathyaraj and Akila took the boy out of the tank and took to him to the government hospital in Uthangarai. Doctors there examined the boy and declared that the child was brought dead,” a police officer said.
The Singarapettai police registered a case and initiated an inquiry. TNN
