Lexus Granito(up 4.96%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.50%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.95%), MOIL(up 0.75%), 20 Microns(up 0.75%) and Pokarna(up 0.71%) stood among the top gainers.
Oriental Trimex(down 5.38%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.73%), KIOCL(down 1.11%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.67%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.66%), Dvpt Corporation(down 0.07%) and Coal India(down 0.02%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 194.0 points up at 17816.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 578.51 points at 59719.74.
Enterprises(up 5.83%), Cipla(up 5.4%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 4.24%), Eicher Motors(up 3.38%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.13%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 2.85%), Tata Steel(up 2.62%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.48%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.45%) and Asian Paints(up 2.32%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Nestle India(down 0.79%), Shree Cement(down 0.68%), Grasim Industries(down 0.44%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.19%), Infosys(down 0.13%) and Coal India(down 0.02%) closed in the red.
