North Goa ZP to utilise Rs 33cr admin funds for devpt works

Panaji: Members of the North Goa zilla panchayat, at the general body meeting held at Porvorim on Tuesday, discussed utilisation of administrative funds of Rs 33 crore for developmental works across the district.
They also underscored the need to set up a mechanism for using the funds.
The developmental works discussed at the meeting, presided over by chairperson of North Goa zilla panchayat Siddesh Naik, were sewerage, drainage and construction of toilets among others.
Construction of North Goa zilla panchayat bhavan was also discussed and the attendees were informed that there was no provision for such a project.
CEO, North Goa zilla panchayat Gaurish Shankhwalkar, vice-president of North Goa zilla panchayat and zilla panchayat members were present for the meeting.
