Phones, tobacco, beedi found in jail
Ludhiana: Officials of Ludhiana Central jail, Tajpur road recovered 11 mobile phones, 160 packets of tobacco and 10 packets of beedi from the jail.
In the first case, jail officials seized a mobile phone from inmate Tajinder Singh of Guru Gobind Singh Nagar.
An FIR was lodged against him at division number 7 police station.
In the second case, officials seized 10 mobile phones, 160 packets of tobacco and 10 packets of beedi in the jail. These had apparently been dumped. Assistant jail superintendent Inderpreet Singh said that a case had been registered against the unidentified accused.
