The winners of 'Ease 4.0', the fourth edition of the 'Enhanced Access and Service Excellence' (Ease) program organised by the Indian Banks' Association (IBA), have been felicitated. IBA said in a statement that the best performing banks on various parameters in this ranking have been honored by the Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman.

The first prize was given to the best performing Bank of Baroda. Whereas, State Bank of India (SBI) is in second place and Canara Bank is in third. Indian Bank was rated as the best performer among all public sector banks.

Enhanced Access and Service Excellence (EASE) is a reforms initiative by the Department of Financial Services (DFS) for Public Sector Banks. Under 'Ease 4.0', public sector banks were asked to focus on digital lending and co-lending with non-banking companies, agriculture financing and technology collaboration. According to this statement, public sector banks are increasingly adopting digital means. This is proved by the fact that in the financial year 2021-22, these banks sanctioned loans worth Rs 83,091 crore digitally.
