US Muslim couple ties nuptial knot in Hindu style

VARANASI: Fascinated by the Hindu culture, a Muslim couple from the US reportedly got married as per the Hindu rituals at Trilochan Mahadev temple in Jaunpur district on Saturday.
The video footage of the ceremony went viral on social media. According to reports, US citizens Kiymah Din Khalifa and his girlfriend Kesha Khalifa, dressed in Hindu wedding attire, tied the nuptial knot amid chanting of Vedic mantras at the temple.
In the viral video, they are purportedly seen taking marital vows and performing rituals amid chanting of mantras . Kesha is also seen taking blessings by touching Kiymah’s feet after the completion of rituals.
Both Kiamah and Kesha Khalifa were often seen roaming along the ghats of the Ganga in Varanasi. They said that they know each other for 18 years. Kiymah has a farming business in the US. The couple said that during their stay in Varanasi, they got fascinated with the Hindu culture. They added that they decided to get married according to Hindu customs and came to Varanasi.
