BSF ups guard to thwart any drone explosive drop

Amritsar: The aggressive pre-emptive action initiated in the last week by security forces against drone intrusions from Pakistan is aimed at warding off any possible attempt to airdrop an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) or some other explosive on some sensitive installations, a village, or a town in India like the attack on the Indian Air Force station in Jammu last year.
Not only has the Border Security Force (BSF) stepped up measures to secure the airspace alongside the India-Pakistan international border in Punjab from Pakistan's Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), but the police as well as civil administration havegeared up for any unpredictable cross border venture.
