Abhishek Awasthi and Ankita Goswami got married in 2018. However, following the financial crisis due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown, things started falling apart. The two have been living separately for the past one and a half years.

Indian actor and former reality television performer Abhishek Awasthi has confirmed that he will soon end his relationship with his wife, Ankita Goswami. Abhishek stated in a recent interview that the couple had been living separately for over a year and that they would be filing for divorce soon.

Abhishek and Ankita tied the knot in 2018. While the couple had a lovely start, things, according to the actor, began to fall apart during the pandemic. The problem started as Abhishek's newly set dance studio in Dubai had to be abruptly shut down following the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown.

The former contestant at Nach Baliye opened up about the recent turmoil in his personal and professional life.

He said the abrupt shutdown led to huge financial losses, affecting his personal life. He also informed that he and Ankita, a chef by profession, started having minor issues that would escalate into ugly fights.

Abhishek further added that the marriage was destroyed due to misunderstandings and incompatibility. However, the couple continues to be cordial and supportive of each other and appreciate their time together. Following the pandemic, the couple realised they lacked compatibility, and though they tried saving the marriage, things kept falling apart. Abhishek said that he never thought he would separate from his wife and that the two deliberated for months before taking the big decision.

Abhishek Awasthi was last seen in the Sony Sab sitcom show Wagle Ki Duniya in a cameo role. While he has been on and off the screen throughout his career, Abhishek has assured his fans that he would no longer take long breaks between roles.

The Kanpur-born actor made headlines for dating Bollywood actor and reality star Rakhi Sawant, who's currently dating Adil Khan Durrani. Abhishek and Rakhi also participated in Nach Baliya Season 3 and reached the season's finals, losing to Hussain Kuwajerawala and Tina Kuwajerawala. Soon after the show, Abhishek and Rakhi broke up.
