BJP nat’l prez Nadda visits church, takes part in autorickshaw rally in Nagaland
Guwahati: BJP national president JP Nadda, who kicked off the party’s campaign for the upcoming assembly election early next year on the first day of his maiden visit to Nagaland on Thursday, visited a Catholic church in the state capital Kohima, led an autorickshaw rally and addressed intellectuals and professionals on Friday.
Before leaving for New Delhi late in the afternoon, Nadda met state BJP’s core committee at the residence of the deputy chief minister Yanthungo Patton.
Nadda, who was on a two-day visit to Nagaland since Thursday, paid a visit to Mary Help of Christians Cathedral, Kohima, which is the church of the bishop of the diocese of Kohima. From Kohima, Nadda took the chopper to Dimapur from where he participated in an autorickshaw rally and went to a resort in the Chumoukedima area to address intellectuals and professionals.
