LUDHIANA: Prominent industrialist and Rajya Sabha member from
Punjab, Sanjeev Arora, called upon the President, Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi on Friday. According to Arora, this meeting was a courtesy call.
Arora said, “Our President, Droupadi Murmu, is a pleasant and down-to-earth personality from a humble background. She has reached the highest possible position in our country through her struggle in personal and public life.” During the meeting, Arora congratulated President Murmu upon her recent election and also briefed her about himself and discussed several issues.
He stressed that the country needed some immediate reforms as far as the health sector is concerned. He pointed out that there is a dire need to make affordable healthcare available for every Indian, especially for the indoor patients in the hospitals. Arora also discussed about the rising dreaded diseases such as cancer, across the country. He also briefed the President about a charitable trust named ‘Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust’, being run by him that is named after his parents and has provided free treatment to around 170 cancer patients.
