Ludhiana: An ENT doctor lost about Rs 77,000 to online fraudsters who lured him on the pretext of updating Know Your Customer (KYC) of his SBI credit card. PAU police lodged an FIR against three persons following an inquiry. The FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Dr Arun Mitra of Kitchlu Nagar. Dr Mitra said that on May 6, he received a call and the caller asked him to update KYC of his credit card. As asked by the caller, he shared details of his credit card, after which two transactions of Rs 51,566 and Rs 25,684 were made. He said that the person disconnected the call and switched the number off. Thereafter, he lodged a complaint with the police. An inquiry was marked to the cyber cell of Ludhiana Police.
