LUDHIANA: Adding a new feather in his cap, four-and-a-half-year-old Kunwar Pratap has bagged the Global Child Prodigy Award 2022 under the category of intelligence. A student of Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, Kunwar was selected among 100 children in different categories from all over the world and was declared youngest child prodigy in the category of intelligence.
Studying in UKG, Kunwar has already made six world records registered with the International Book of World Records, followed by two records each registered with India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.
His father Rushil Jindal who is an assistant district attorney said, "He can answer capitals of all countries of the world. He does addition sums orally. He knows all continents, neighbouring countries of India, names of planets, oceans, and multiples of various numbers. He can recite names of 10 Sikh gurus in sequence."
Dr Nanina Jindal, his mother, said, "At this tender age, he has managed to set these world records. We are hopeful that he should be recognized by the state and central government so that his talent gets valued."
He has a unique memory and loves playing with numbers. He also likes reading books and currently he is reading works of
Shakespeare. Headmistress of school Sudha said, "Kunwar is a keen learner. He is an outstanding child of the school and is ahead of other students. He does his work in a wink of an eye."
Talking to TOI, Kunwar said, "I want to follow the footprints of APJ Kalam and want to be like him. I sometimes feel his and my names are alike as my mother calls me KPJ (Kunwar Pratap Jindal).
Kunwar has a record of being the youngest to recite maximum multiplication tables(1to30); youngest to recite maximum multiplication squares(1to60); youngest to recite names of all Prime ministers of India in serial order. 4; youngest to recite names of all Presidents of India in serial order; youngest and fastest to read 27 storybooks in 23 min 48 sec; and youngest to name capitals of all Indian states in 48 seconds.
