Greater Noida: Gautam Buddha University (GBU) can accept 125 more foreign students in technical courses like engineering and biotechnology under the direct admission of student abroad (DASA) programme of the Union education ministry, officials have said.
DASA is an initiative by the Union government to facilitate admission of foreign nationals, NRIs, persons of Indian origin (PIOs), children of Indian workers in Gulf countries (CIWGs) and overseas citizens of India (OCIs) only.
The academic fee for students under DASA 2022 admission process is $4000 per annum for SAARC countries, $6000 for non-SAARC countries and $2000 for CIWGs. The hostel fee for all such students will be Rs 40,000 per annum.
“The admissions are open till September 30,” said Arvind Kumar Singh, the university’s PR officer.
