Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 357.4 points down at 59989.57 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Simplex Mills(down 16.57 per cent), Aravali Sec Fin(down 15.17 per cent), Sagar Diamonds(down 13.94 per cent), Shri Krishna(down 12.06 per cent) and Oriental Trimex(down 11.40 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks traded in the green, while 38 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 110.05 points down at 17893.7.
On the BSE, , and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Olatech ., , , and touched their fresh 52-week highs.
